The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department offers a variety of breastfeeding support for families.
FOR ALL PREGNANT & BREASTFEEDING FAMILIES:
Prenatal breastfeeding education classes
One-on-one consults during pregnancy to discuss infant feeding options
Breastfeeding consults after delivery from International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
Individualized counseling for moms returning to work or school.
Weight checks anytime during office hours and Breastfeeding Cafes.
Breastfeeding Café (support group)
Cafes are a place for new, expectant, or experienced moms to talk about breastfeeding and other parenting topics in a laid back, friendly atmosphere.
Cafes are offered twice a month:
Evening Café Daytime Cafe
1st Wednesday of the month 3rd Wednesday of the month
5:30 – 7:30 pm 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

- Southeast Ohio Breastfeeding Coalition – SEOBC is a collaboration of regional professionals, community partners, and breastfeeding moms. Their mission is to organize local efforts to improve the health of our community by promoting, educating, and supporting breastfeeding.
