Infectious Disease Surveillance

Health care practitioners and laboratories must report cases of infectious disease to the local health departments according to the Ohio Revised Code 3701.

Ohios list of reportable infectious diseases and reporting requirements, including timelines for reporting and surveillance case definitions, are included in the Ohio Department of Healths Infectious Disease Control Manual (IDCM), which can be found by clicking here.
