is the Health Department funded?
In 2011, the operating budget of the Health Department was 4.8 million dollars. Approximately 47% of that budget is supported by local levy dollars. In addition, because of our supportive community and many strong local partnerships, the health department is able to bring in $1,694,717 in federal and state grants. A small portion of funding also comes from fees for services, licenses and permits.
