Inspection & Backflow Prevention
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department provides
registration of all plumbing contractors and their employees, and inspections
of all commercial and residential plumbing installations. Staff also conducts
plan reviews and inspections for all medical gas installations. The Plumbing
Inspectors are certified with the State of Ohio Department of Commerce and
maintain those certifications by attending the required certification classes

Food Service Plan Review Must Be Done First!
A Food Service Plan Review must be done first by the
Health Department having jurisdiction before plumbing plans will be reviewed
and approved. After a plumbing permit has been purchased, a copy will be sent
by fax to the Health Department having jurisdiction.
