Description: Senior_Couple.pngSenior Health Screening

Senior Health screening is available to all Muskingum County residents age 55 and older.

As our population continues to age, more seniors are seeking health care services than ever before. But many seniors say they feel rushed when they see their physician. They say they want to better understand their health care options.

One way to do that is for seniors to take advantage of the Senior Health screenings provided by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department. The clinics are for all people age 55 and older.

These are screenings only and do not replace a physicians care.

The screenings give seniors a chance to sit down with a registered nurse and discuss their health care concerns in more detail. The screenings provide individual health education, including the importance of good nutrition, proper exercise and rest, cancer detection, understanding medications, senior eye health, and other specific topics. If a health problem is found, the client is referred to the appropriate health care provider, such as a physician, dentist, etc. The screenings are offered at several locations throughout Muskingum County.

The screenings are free. However, your support of the Health Department Levy keeps the screenings running.
