STI Education & Counseling

It is important to get tested if you think you have a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or you have been in a situation where you may have been exposed to one. Some STIs are asymptomatic, meaning that you can have them and not even know it. Untreated STIs can lead to serious medical complications and affect the health of unborn children. Under Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 3709.241, medical providers are permitted to test and treat minors for STIs without parental consent.
