Friday, April 18, 2025DEA National Drug Take Back Day
When: Saturday, April 26th
10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Clear out the clutter in your medicine cabinet. Safely dispose of all those old or unused medications including prescription and over the counter medications.
There are four collection sites in Muskingum County.
- Sam’s Club on Northpointe
- Kroger on Maple
- Reisbeck’s Pick’ N Save on June Parkway
- Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department on 7th Street
The collection site at the health department is a drive thru, and the only site accepting sharps (needles/syringes).
Drug take back days are held twice a year — once in the spring, and once in the fall. If you miss those opportunities, there is a permanent medication drop-off box available year round at the Muskingum County Jail. Additionally, Deterra Deactivation Kits are a good alternative.
