The social worker with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department provides a range of services to the citizens of Muskingum County who require public health assistance and community programs to enhance their social, environmental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

The social worker is dedicated and committed to ensuring residents are recipients of maximum and optimum health outcomes. Our staff is available to provide services in homes, schools, healthcare centers, churches, and at various community sites and locations.

Services are geared towards the prevention, early identification and alleviation of psychosocial issues impacting the use and response to health care as well as mental/behavioral health service provision. The social worker can help the citizens of Muskingum County navigate existing resources including affordable housing, food insecurity, behavioral health services, transportation, utility assistance and other complex needs unique to the individual or family.
