The Ohio Buckles Buckeyes (OBB) Car Seat Program

The Ohio Buckles Buckeye Program provides free car seats to low-income families throughout Ohio.

The overall goal of this program is to increase the availability of child safety seats for families who could not otherwise afford them and to increase correct installation and proper use of child safety seats.

Families must attend an educational class. The program is designed for families with babies and small children who have outgrown their infant seat. Requirements include the following:

  • Your child meets weight and height requirements for available seats
  • You attend, participate in, and complete a car seat class
  • Your child is eligible for WIC or Medicaid

Cribs for Kids

Cribs for Kids provides Graco Pack-n-Play cribs to families who do not have a safe place for their baby to sleep.

The mission of this program is to prevent infant deaths that occur due to accidental suffocation, asphyxia, or other undetermined causes during sleep. Cribs are provided through the Prenatal and Maternal/Newborn Home Visiting Program after a safe sleep assessment is completed.
